This COB (Chip on board) LED strip is a flexible LED strip with no dotting.
The COB light strip is a light strip that encapsulates the chip on a flexible board. Chips mostly use flip-chips, which are linearly solid-bonded on the PCB, and then a layer of packaging glue mixed with phosphor is directly dropped on the surface of the chip. The light emitted by the chip is refracted, reflected, and interacted with the phosphor inside the encapsulating gel. The gel uniformly emits light of different colorrs and colorr temperatures.
This is especially useful if the LED strip is going to be visible or is diffused by a clear cover. LED Strip lighting is easily installed into panels or trays just by bending/folding the strip without the need for connections or soldering.
It has an impressive 288 LEDs per metre behind a totally diffused COB style phosphor cover. Priced per metre, it can be cut every 0.5 metres (50cm). The COB LED Strip is IP67 rated version.
With an energy consumption of 9 watts per metre, it produces approx 800 lumens per metre. It has shorter cut points which improve flexibility at just 50cm and a high CRI (Colour Rendering Index) of CRI90 as standard.
